Jefferson School African American Heritage Center

Beautifully restored to its original 1926 condition, the Jefferson School African American Heritage Center is the perfect place to hold conferences, small meetings, receptions and other events. Rent the entire Heritage Center, just the auditorium, or one of our more intimate spaces.

Boasting state of the art audio and video capabilities, the Heritage Center’s auditorium and classrooms are plug-in ready with free high-speed broadband Internet access. There is also an on-site catering kitchen equipped with full-sized refrigerator, microwave, and dishwasher. Moreover, our contemporary gallery and other exhibition spaces enhance the experience of those participating in your event. The Center is available for rental until 10 pm.

Room fees are calculated based on the entire reservation time, including time required for set-up and cleanup. Rental minimum is two hours. For events that occur after 5 pm or on weekends with over 50 people, there is an additional fee for JSAAHC security personnel. A minimum of one security person is required for all events.
