Widely known for her research at the intersections of science, technology, policy, and society, Alondra Nelson holds the Harold F. Linder Chair at the Institute for Advanced Study, where she leads the Science, Technology, and Social Values Lab. She served as deputy assistant to President Joe Biden and acting director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, for which she led the drafting of the Blueprint for an AI Bill of Rights. In 2023, she was named to the inaugural TIME100 list of the most influential people in the field of AI.
