Art Opening: Poseidon's Cove by Sigrid Eilertson
Installation piece, permanent exhibit inside The Looking Glass
Sigrid Eilertson is a local artist, art therapist and art educator. You might be familiar with her tree "throne" sculpture that has been a fixture in the Looking Glass for years. She has branched out to create her newest piece titled "Poseidon's Cove" in the cave section of our museum. This interactive sculpture is inspired by the magic of the world's endangered coral reefs. Her use of neon bright colors and hidden sculptures entice the viewer to explore the majestic nature that lies beneath our seas.
