There is always something happening in the Charlottesville area, from celebrity-studded film festivals to vibrant community celebrations.
Morgan Freeman, Sandra Bullock, Anthony Hopkins and thousands of movie buffs have all attended the annual Virginia Film Festival. For more local flavor, check out the Maupintown Film Festival, which showcases stories of African American history and culture through film.
