Brandon Wayne & His Lonesome Drifters: Powerhouse Local Rockabilly Band Make Their Debut at Durty Nelly's

May 9
8:00 PM to 12:00 PM

Durty Nelly's

2200 Jefferson Park Ave. Charlottesville, Virginia 22902

This powerhouse quartet is a modern-day blast from the past. Their shows are a smoking hot mix of Brandon Wayne's superb originals and choice covers in the style of early to mid-20th century classic vintage rockabilly, hillbilly and western swing along with original surf instrumentals. Wayne's gorgeous salty-sweet twang has echoes of George Jones meets Hank Williams, and it is truly one of the finest hillbilly voices on the scene today. It's dance music of the highest order so rest up because you won't want to sit down.

The band is:

Brandon Wayne – Charlottesville area native on acoustic & electric guitar, and vocals

Charles "King" Arthur – Master multi-instrumentalist on steel & electric guitar and vocals

Matias Camino – veteran of the Buenos Aires and Los Angeles rockabilly scenes on upright bass

Nick Powers – veteran jazz drummer from Winchester, VA--he swings AND he rocks
