UVA Concerto Competition Winner Performance: The University of Virginia's second annual Concerto Competition highlights the talents of student musicians in the Music Department. The work to be performed will be announced after this year's winner is named in October.

Sergei Prokofiev, Excerpts from Romeo and Juliet: Prokofiev's cinematically vivid ballet music is a take on Shakespeare's treasured tale of the star-crossed lovers, matching the playwright's blend of tenderness and foul play, humor and calamity.
