Family Studio Day: May

Each month, we take inspiration from the exhibitions on view to come up with a featured project for all our guests to enjoy. Exhibiting photographers in "Charlottesville Porch Portraits (https://www.secondstreetgallery.org/cville-porch-portraits) will attend and give us ideas on how to draw and record our families in unique ways.

Each Family Studio Day is a free event where we invite families with kids of all ages to spend time creating art together in the gallery. All visitors have access to free art materials, prompts, and coloring pages to play with during their time in the space. These activities get families engaged in not only the act of creation, but also in having thoughtful conversations about the artworks in the current exhibition
