Join co-authors Ila Berman and Andrew Kudless for an engaging discussion on FLUX: Architecture in a Parametric Landscape (Applied Research + Design, 2024), a novel exploration of how computational and material innovations have transformed architectural design over the past 25 years.
Berman and Kudless will introduce the book's eight design taxonomies-ranging from Stacked Aggregates to Multi-agent Systems-that reveal how advanced technologies have redefined form, structure, and spatial experience. Through a presentation of select built works and experimental projects, they will illustrate how these evolving design strategies transcend individual creations to form a dynamic network of architectural ideas and cultural artifacts in constant transformation.
This conversation will offer insights into how architecture operates within a larger cultural and technological landscape, pushing the boundaries of design thinking and shaping new urban and architectural models.
