At 1 p.m. Saturday, February 15, the Piedmont Master Gardeners will present a free Garden Basics class: "Indoor Gardening-You Don't Need a Green Thumb." The program is open to all and will be held at the Barn at James Monroe's Highland, 2050 James Monroe Parkway, Charlottesville. It will cover plant selection, repotting, containers, environmental factors affecting houseplants, and how to maximize the use of greenery to beautify a home. Space is limited.
