Nature for All: A Bird Watching Event for Folks with Mobility Challenges

The Rivanna Master Naturalists, who love getting out in nature, would like to provide events that make nature accessible and safe for all regardless of mobility, hearing, seeing, or any other challenges. Birding event on Saturday, October 19, at 9:00 at Riverview Park.

We have expert birders from the Piedmont Virginia Bird Club to help even the most inexperienced. We'll provide binoculars and help you learn how to use them. We will move at a speed designed to accommodate those who have to move at their own pace. Riverview Park is flat enough for wheelchairs and has handicapped parking and a handicapped porta potty. The trail has many benches for those needing to rest.
