Please Don't Tell return to The Stage in support of their favorite radio station with their original Goth Folk sounds to close out this year's Folk Marathon concert series.
This is a free event, open to all. But it is of course a fundraiser, so call in those pledges at 434-924-3959 or online at wtju.net/donate. You can also listen to on the radio (91.1 FM) or on-line, and even video stream it at WTJU's Facebook page or YouTube channel. But concerts always sound better with you as part of the studio audience. WTJU is located at 2244 Ivy Rd in Charlottesville, right next door to Vivace. There is plenty of parking, both in our lot as well as the Sentara lot next door.
This week's evening performances during the Folk Marathon are supported by The Music Resource Center, Charlottesville. For over 20 years, The Music Resource Center has helped sixth through 12th graders achieve their musical goals. Learn more at musicresourcecenter.org. If you're hellbent on breaking big you probably shouldn't call your band Please Don't Tell. After all, the name itself is hiding something and, further still, practically begging all of us to keep whatever it is to ourselves. But like all good secrets, Please Don't Tell harbors a truth worth revealing to the world.
A trio of players with mixed musical backgrounds including classical, goth, and bluegrass, among others. These musicians have played venues that range from punk houses to The Kennedy Center. Please Don't Tell in 2024 released their first professional recording at Fatback Sound in Nashville, TN with Gabe Rabben (Bill Medley, Ira Raibon) and Sam Wilson (Sons of Bill, Emmylou Harris).
Vocals and Piano: Christina Fleming
