Ramona Martinez is a honky tonker based in Charlottesville, Virginia, whose music recalls classic country from the 1950s and 60s. A prolific singer-songwriter, her sincere and heartfelt music has been described as "incredibly relatable" and "earnest." She also pulls from her tejana roots to perform and compose traditional Mariachi music in a Country Western style. Martinez was listed as one of the "15 Latino Artists Shaping Country Music" by Wide Open Country. Martinez currently fronts the up-and-coming honky tonk band, Ramona and the Holy Smokes.
