Spanish Play "Ana 3/11", by the Spanish Theater Group at UVA

The play focuses on the three women, all named Ana, who each has a relationship with the same man, as wife, mother, and lover, who more than likely has been injured or killed in the attacks. The man's possible death ricochets through their lives, cracking open secrets and prompting searing personal reckonings.

Pedrero recreates the tragedy's aftermath by revealing reactions to the television coverage, futile attempts by each woman to reach a missing person by cell phone, or the fearful waiting in a hospital. The name Ana shared by the three women draws attention to the shared suffering caused by all violent acts of terror.
