Stick and Stitch Embroidery

Join Ari (they/them) to learn how to make and use a dissolvable stick-on pattern for embroidery.

We'll start by drawing, tracing, or stenciling an image onto the stick-on stabilizer. Then we'll go over the lines with embroidery stitches. Ari will teach a few basic stitches, or if you are an experienced embroiderer you can go with what you know! We will have some relaxed time for stitching, then get a hands-on demo of how the stabilizer dissolves so that you can do it on your own once your embroidery is finished. Small and simple patterns can be finished in class, and if you want to do something more complex you'll be able to wrap it up at home.

Bring a washable cloth item you'd like to add some embroidery to, or use cloth provided by the instructor. If you have an image you'd like to trace and use for a pattern, bring that along too.
