Get ready to embark on a magical journey at the University of Virginia's Stan Winston and Steve Warner Creature Festival, taking place on April 25th! Join us at 7:00 PM at the UVA Arts Grounds to kick off the evening. Witness the extraordinary as we bring to life giant captivating creatures designed and built by students of the Art of the Moving Creature classes and inspired by the legendary work of Hollywood artist and UVA alum, Stan Winston, and beloved educator and technical director of UVA Drama, Steve Warner. Then, join the creatures on a parade, where you'll be surrounded by a menagerie of mythical entourages.

The community is invited to join in the festivities as part of the parade with costumes or puppets or just come as you are! We will walk from Arts Grounds on a loop including the Rotunda around sunset, providing spectators with the opportunity to witness these enchanting creatures in the day and night!

Don't miss this unforgettable night of wonder and excitement for all ages at the UVA's Stan Winston and Steve Warner Creature Festival!

This extraordinary and free festival is made possible through the generous support of UVA Arts, the Stan Winston School of Character Arts, the UVA Department of Drama, and the UVA School of Architecture.
