The wine-dark Mediterranean Sea envelops the coast of perhaps the most mysterious of wine countries: Italy. Here, Etruscans loved a river they called "water" or, in their language, "Chianti," which later became the name of the Tuscan region. The famous ports of the Middle Ages traded the sweet wines of Syracuse, Vittoria, and Chianti. Venetians sent grapes far and wide, Romans loved the aged wines from Mt. Vesuvius, and the north east was famous for an ancient style of rosé.

Tonight, it's an odyssey as we taste an array of majestic Italian wines.

Join us at this casual walk-up tasting as we explore the mysteries and histories of Italy....
