Charlottesville and Albemarle County have a thriving arts and culture scene with everything from big name performers to celebrated local artists.

In fact, the legendary Dave Matthews started his band while bartending on the Downtown Mall and today regularly plays sold out shows in Charlottesville.

With a thriving local music scene, you will find music venues of all sizes, which support the diversity of performers and music genres. From the 15,000+ seat John Paul Jones Arena, the historic Paramount Theater, and The Ting Pavillion to more intimate venues like The Southern Café and Music Hall, The Front Porch, or The Jefferson Theater.
