Food & Drink Tours
- Discover your new favorite Virginia wine on a guided wine tour! There are more than 40 wineries on the Monticello Wine Trail to choose from and local transportation companies will work with you to create a customized itinerary.
- You can also customize a tour focused on craft beverages to get a taste of our local beers, ciders and spirits!
- Take a food tour of the historic pedestrian Downtown Mall, home to many of the restaurants that put Charlottesville on the international Food Scene map!
- Take a food tour of "The Corner", a neighborhood filled with shops and restaurants right next to the University of Virginia.
History Tours
- Tour some of the region’s historic, presidential homes: Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello, James Monroe’s Highland, and James Madison’s Montpelier. It's possible to visit all three homes in one day, but you might consider adding a special stop for lunch at Michie Tavern, a colonial-era tavern known for its delicious fried chicken and other Southern specialties.
